Recipe of Poondu Chutney in Tamil Nadu
This is Recipe of Poondu Chutney in Tamil Nadu Style Preparation. Garlic is medicinally very important kitchen cooking ingredient. There are different types of Poondu chutney varieties are prepared. The medicinal properties of Poondu are many. It reduces the blood pressure and bad cholesterol. Here I have given the idea of how to make poondu chutney easy and simple.
Poondu Chatni Ingredients
Poondu (Garlic) 20 to 25 cloves
Tomato – 1
Tamarind – coin size
Red chillies – 6
Salt as required
Sautéing ingredients
Sesame oil – little
Mustard and urad dal – little
Curry leaves – little
Asafotida a pinch
How to Prepare Poondu Chutney in Tamil Style
Chop the tomatoes into small pieces and keep ready.
Take a pan and add little oil, fry the chillies and keep it ready
Then fry the garlic in the same oil, keep it separate.
Then fry the tomato pieces and keep it separate.
Now add the fried ingredients together with salt and tamarind.
Grind nicely and sauté with the given ingredients.
Boil it for five minutes. Tasty Spicy Poondu Chutney Tamil style is ready to taste.
Note: Sesame oil gives nice odour and taste.
If you want you can add one or two extra tomatoes (thakkali poondu chutney )and reduce tamarind.
If you want to keep this for more than a day, add more sesame oil.
