Murungai Keerai Poriyal Healthy Recipes Samayal for Pregnant Ladies


Murungai Keerai Poriyal 
Murungai Keerai drumstick leaves samayal is very good and healthy for all people especially for pregnant ladies. Murungai Keerai is rich in vitamins and minerals. It is the major source of iron which is called one of the essential nutrients for pregnant ladies.  

Ingredients for Murungai Keerai Poriyal
Murungai Keerai (drumstick leaves) – 1 bunch
Big onion – 2
Red chillies – 6
Mustard – 1tsp
peanut – ½ cup
Garlic – 4-5 clove
Grated Coconut – ½ cup
Oil and salt as per your taste

How to Prepare Healthy Samayal for Pregnant Ladies Murungai Keerai Poriyal Recipe
Clean and chop the drumstick leaves, wash it before cutting to avoid nutrient loss.
Chop the onion and chillies and garlic into very thin pieces.
Fry the peanut (ground nut) and break into very small pieces, keep it aside.
Add a cup of water and Salt. Pressure cook it by closing the lid. Let for 2 or 3 whistles.
Take a pan add oil and mustard seeds, let to splitter then add the chopped onion.
When the fried into golden brown add chillies and garlic, fry well and add the Murungai Keerai leaves.
Now add the cooked leaves and fry until the water fully evaporates.
Finally garnish with grated coconut and peanut. Murungai Keerai Poriyal is ready to taste.
Note: The bitter taste of the keerai is changed by adding coconut and ground nut.
