Saravana Bhavan Chilli Parotta Recipe

Among many other tongue tickling foods, Chilli Parotta is the popular food of Tamilnadu. Saravana bhavan chilli parotta recipe is the favorite of all age group people. Saravana bhavan chilli parotta very easy to prepare and very tasty to enjoy chilli parotta. Another variety called saravana bhavan kothu parotta is also delicious. Here is the simple chilli parotta recipe with basic kitchen requirements.

Take 2-3 leftover parottas and cut them into small square pieces. Take a fry pan and heat some oil in it. Finely chop 7-8 garlic pods and add in to oil. Fry well. Now add ½ inch shredded ginger, 3-4 finely chopped green chillies and again fry well. Add some curry leaves and fry them. Cut 3 small size onions in thin slices and add it in the fry pan. After the onions are fried in golden brown colour, add square cut pieces of green capsicum and stir fast on high flame. When the green capsicum is little cooked add 2 small sized finely chopped tomatoes and fry the mixture well. When the mixture will start leaving oil from the sides, add turmeric powder, 1 ½ tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp coriander powder and 1 tsp of garam masala powder. Stir well and cook the mixture on less flame.

When the mixture is well cooked add 2 tsp soya sauce and 3 tsp of tomato sauce in it for getting saravana bhavan chilli parotta exact taste. Add salt as per your requirement. Now add pieces of parotta in the mixture. Fry the complete mixture on high flame for 2 minutes. Let the pieces of parotta get coated with all the masala. All fresh lemon juice and mix well. Take the pan down from the flame and decorate the dish with fresh coriander leaves and onion rings. Serve hot.

To try a bit different recipe, fry onion and tomato. Add 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste and fry well. After cooling grind this mixture along with ashirwad chili powde , coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, 1 tsp of poppy seeds and 5-6 fried cashew nuts. Now take a fry pan and fry finely cur onions until they get transparent. Now add grinded masala paste and fry thoroughly for nearly 7-8 minutes. Add parotta pieces and mix well. Take out from flame and garnish with coriander leaves.

If you prefer more spicy food then along with all masala powders you can add black pepper powder also. You can use finely chopped spring onions for garnishing the dish. You can prepare this dish by adding variety of ingredients according to your requirement. By adding eggs batter in the mixture before adding sauces can prepare tasty egg chilli parotta.  Saravana bhavan chilli parotta recipe is ready to taste.
