Tamil Rasam Recipes and Types
One of the best and mostly liked hotel recipes of Tamil Nadu are saravana bhavan recipes. The taste of the recipes remembers our traditional food. saravana bhavan rasam recipes are very delicious. Here I have given the preparation of thakkali rasam in Tamil hotel style.
Saravana Bhavan Rasam Recipe Ingredients
Tomato: 3 medium sized
Tamarind: Gooseberry size
Asafetida: a pinch
Garlic: 10
Mustard: 1/2tsp
Dry chillies: 2
Channa Dal: 1/4tsp
Broken Urad Dal: 1/4tsp
Curry leaves: as required
Coriander leaves: as required
Oil: as required
Salt: as required
Saravana Bhavan Rasam Powder Ingredients
Lentil: 2 tsp or take 3tsp of boiled lentil paste
Channa Dal: 1/2tsp
Cumin seeds: 1/2tsp
Coriander seeds: 1/2tsp
Black pepper seeds: 1/2tsp
Curry leaves: as required
Saravana Bhavan Rasam Recipe Preparation
- Fry the saravana bhavan rasam podi (powder) Ingredients in 1tsp oil and make a powder.
- Make a juice of tomato by adding required water, add salt and mix well.
- Prepare the juice of Tamarind by adding little water. Mix tamarind and tomato juice together.
- Tap garlic without removing the skin, now adjust the taste of saravana bhavan rasam recipe by tasting a drop.
- Take a vessel, pour a tsp of oil, sauté, spray Asafetida.
- Then add mustard, urad dal, curry leaves and red chillies. Fry well in low flame.
- Finally add tapped ginger and fry well, pour the rasam water in the vessel and add the prepared rasam powder.
- Switch off the stove when the tomato soup or rasam comes to the stage of foam (stage before boiling). Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Delicious Saravana bhavan rasam recipe is to taste.

it should be tapped garlic not GINGER
