Tamil language samayal recipes are more and delicious. The moat popular Tamil nadu samayal recipe is ven pongal. Ven pongal is the most favoutite food of many Tamilians. If some body dis like pongal, the reason is improper preparation. If anybody hate Tamil language samayal ven pongal recipe just try this method to make them eat. There are many samayal books in Tamil languge but each prescript different menthod but the tastiest one is our traditional method which was demonstrated in Malika badrinath samayal tamil language. I am happy to sharing this recipe with you.

Tamil Language Samayal ven pongal Recipe Ingredients
Raw rice (pacharici)  -  1/4kg
Broken green gram dal  -  100gm
Ghee -  3 tsp
Black pepper - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1  tsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp (optional)
Cashew - 10-15
Curry leaves -  little
Oil  -  as required
Salt - as required

How to Prepare ven Pongal in Tamil Style
This is ven pongal recipe pressure cooker preparation.
1.   Fry the green gram dal until it becomes golden brown in colour,
2.   Soak the frued green gram dal and rice 15monutes before cooking,
3.   Take a pressure cooker and pour five times of water with the measurement of rice,
4.   Then add the the soaked rice dal, ginger garlic paste and salt,
5.   Then let it for a whistle and keep aside,
6.   Now take a frying pan and add ghee, heat it,
7.   Add cumin seeds, pepper, curry leaves and  chashew nuts and mix this with the prepared Tamil ven p[ongal recipe,
8.   Add ghee as per your taste, more addition of more ghee ghee gives good taste,
9.   The delicious hotel ven pongal recipe is ready taste,

Bread samayal Tamil Recipe Bread Upma with Egg and Vegetables

Bread Upma Tamil Recipe
There are different varieties of prepared in Bread samayal Tamil style. The most common and tasty preparation is Bread Upma recipe. Bread upma andhra style is slightly different from our preparation by its spiciness. Breads are available in two forms, brown and white but I have prepared brown bread upma and it was delicious.  One day I came across the preparation of bread upma recipe sanjeev kapoor preparation and I tried that it was excellent.  It is very simple and you can also try this at home.

Bread samayal Upma Ingredients
Bread : 10
Mustrad – 1/2tsp
Curry leaves - little
Onion - 1
Potato - 1
Tomato - 1
Beans - 1
Carrot – 1
Green chillies - 2
Egg - 2
Salt -  for taste

Bread Upma Preparation
  • Remove the outer brown and make small pieces of the white portion of the bread.
  • Finely chop the onion, 
  • tomato, beans, carrot and potato, keep aside.
  • Take a non stick pan and pour some oil, add mustard, curry leaves and onion, fry well.
  • When onion turns golden add Green chillies and tomatoes and sauté nicely for a minute.
  • Then add all the chopped vegetables and fry until it cooked three fourth.
  • Now add the bread pieces and fry until it turns brown in colour.
  • While frying add required salt for the bred and mix evenly.
  • Fry the eggs separately in another pan and add with Bread Upma recipe
  • Mix well the egg with upma by keeping the content in low flame for a minute.

Coimbatore Samayal Onion Kaara Chutney Recipe


Coimbatore Samayal
This is Coimbatore samayal Kaara chutney recipe. Kaara chutney is the best side dish for Tiffin varieties.  Onion is the major ingredient for Kovai samayal. The addition of red chillies may vary based of the tiffin variety.  Addition of chillies should be more in Kara chutney for idli preparation. The spiciness should be mild in Kara chutney for Dosa preparation and it should be very very mild in Kara chutney for masala dosa preparation because masala dosa consists of stuffed content in it.

Ingredients Needed for Spicy Onion Chutney

·                     Onions - 1
·                     Garlic - 2-3 Pods
·                     Red Chilies – 10 nos
·                     Tamarind- little piece
·                     Oil - little
·                     Salt - to taste

Coimbatore Samayal Onion Kaara Chutney recipe Sautéing ingredients
  • ·      Sesame oil – 1tableespoon
  • ·         Mustard – 1tsp
  • ·         Asafetida – a pinch
  • ·         Curry leaves – little


Coimbatore Samayal Onion Kaara Chutney Preparation
Cut onion into small and equal pieces
Take a small pan and pour little oil, fry the red chillies and keep aside
Then fry the chopped onion in the same oil.
Fry until it becomes golden in colour and let it to cool for some time.
Grind the ingredients onion, chillies, tamarind and salt nicely.
Then sauté onion chutney by using Sautéing ingredients
Note: Add chillies  as per thr spicyness some varieties are more spicy and some are less.

Saravana Bhavan coconut chutney Recipe is my favorite. Coconut Chutney is the most common side dish chutney variety. This is the best side dish for almost all Tiffin varieties. You can easily make Saravana Bhavan Green Chutney and coconut chutney at home. Here is the saravana bhavan coconut chutney recipe which is the exact combination for idli, dosai, idiyappam and ponagl.  

Ingredients for Saravana Bhavan coconut chutney

Coconut – 1 cup
Fried Gram( Pottukkatalai) - 2 tsp
Chillies - 3
Ginger - 1 inch piece
Curry  leaves and coriander leaves -  little
Salt as required

Saravana Bhavan Chutney Sautéing ingredients

Oil - 1 tsp
Mustard 1/2 tsp
Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - 4 leaves

How to make Saravana Bhavan Coconut Chutney

Grind coconut, fried gram, chillies, ginger salt, Curry leaves and coriander leaves nicely by adding enough water.

Then sauté Coconut Chutney by adding mustard, urad dal and curry leaves in 1tsp oil.

Delicious south Indian Coconut Chutney recipe is ready to taste.

Saravana Bhavan Coconut Chutney is the best combination for Idli, dosa, onion dosa, pongal, lemon rice, tamarind rice and even for plain rice.

Adyar Ananda Bhavan Mysore Pak Recipe Sweet Preparation

Adyar Ananda Bhavan Mysore Pak is something special for its delicious taste. People usually called Ananda Bhavan Mysore Pak as melting Mysore Pak. The taste is like home made and it is one of my favorite Tamil sweets. Usually preparation of Mysore Pak Recipe is not easy and if it is not prepared in actual method you can not get the good consistency and taste.  Here I have given the simple and easy preparation method with the details of ingredients and how to prepare mysore pak in Tamil style.

Ingredients of Adyar Ananda Bhavan Mysore Pak Recipe
Gram Flour (Kadalai Mavu) – 1 cup
Sugar – 1.5 cup
Oil – 1.5 cup
Ghee – ½ cup

 How to make Mysore pak in Tamil Ananda Bhavan Style
Take the gram flour and fry for 2 – 3 minutes in low flame until you get the pleasant smell.  
Then clean and filter the gram flour, add oil with  Gram Flour and mix together.
Take a non stick pan and add ½ cup of water and sugar mix well
Prepare the sugar syrup. Put a drop of sugar syrup in little water. It should be insoluble.
The consistency of the sugar syrup must be ball like. Add the oil gram mixture in sugar syrup.
Stir continuously in medium flame by adding the ghee little by little.    
Mix continuously without leaving for eight to ten minutes in medium flame.
Then transfer the content into a ghee coated plate and make it equal at the top.
Leave it for ten minutes and cut the shape as square or diamond.   
Adyar Ananda Bhavan Mysore Pak sweet Recipe is ready to taste.
Note: Frying the gram flour is very important. The maxium ghee you add can give the delicious and taste softness to  tamil mysore pak recipe.
